Skiing: Crawford wins British Men’s Super G title
Crawford, Britain’s top downhiller, who recently moved into the world’s top 60 in the discipline, missed the last two stagings of the event through injury. He skied well enough to win the British title, but was disappointed not to have done better against the top French and Italian World Cup skiers. “I just made too many mistakes, but it is good to win the title again. I seem to have won it every three years so hopefully now it won’t be three years until I win it again.” Crawford said.
He finished with a margin of more than three tenths of a second in hand over TJ Baldwin, the English speed disciplines skier with whom he has teamed up in the absence of any meaningful support from British skiing’s governing body. The duo share the costs of employing their own coach and pay all their own expenses.
