Stirling County’s Boroughmuir win keeps season alive

STIRLING County’s victory sets up an enthralling conclusion to the season when they travel to Dundee on Saturday with a clutch of teams still jostling for both a British & Irish Cup place and to avoid relegation, as their head coach Graeme Young was quick to point out.

“It’s all to play for still for both of us,” he said. “We have to go up to Dundee and give as good a performance as we can.”

His charges will travel to Mayfield with confidence after a convincing win against relegated Boroughmuir, whose coach Fergus Pringle was sanguine in searching for positives.
