There is little doubt that, in common with Ayr and Melrose, Currie have benefited hugely from competing in the British and Irish Cup, and this certainly showed in their powerful forward effort, patient phase play and clever support that generated three first half tries. "To lead 28-0 at the break simply shows the quality of this team. Hawick, missing several key players, could do little without possession but when they did secure ball it was Rory Hutton who impressed.
