Golf: Pair share shotgun prize

LOTHIANS duo David Patrick and Mark Kerr earned £825 each in sharing victory on the one-under-par 71 mark in difficult, windy conditions for The Fairways shotgun pro-am over the Hawkshill course at Newmachar.

Patrick, the Mortonhall man who is now attached to Elie, birdied the fourth, seventh and 17th and dropped shots at the sixth and ninth in halves of 36 and 35. Marriott Dalmahoy trainee Kerr birdied the second, eighth, 11th, 16th and 18th but had four bogeys, at the fifth, sixth, 12th and 15th in halves of 36 and 35.
