Golf: Howie fourth as Remo wins

Craigielaw member Craig Howie shared fourth place in the Scottish Open under-16 championship at Auchterarder.

The Peebles youngster signed off with a one-over par 70 for a four-over 211 and finished three shots behind Swiss winner Remo Fueg.

The Zurich teenager closed with a two-over 71 for a one-over 208 and edged out Blairgowrie's Bradley Neil by a single shot to become the third overseas winner of a national SGU title this season.

Fueg, 16, joins Scottish Open Strokeplay holder Romain Wattel of France and Scottish Open Youths winner Max Rottluff of Germany on the list of continental champions.

Liberton's Anthony Blaney secured a top-ten spot with a 73 for 216 which gave him a share of ninth.
