Fraserburgh make it four victories in a row
DEAN Elrick made sure Fraserburgh started 2010 in style as the Broch sank first-footers Nairn County 3-1 in the Highland League.
In the only north tie to beat the weather, Nairn , in their first match since mid-November because of poor weather, took the lead at Bellslea Park through Willie Barron in the 20th minute.
Willie West pulled Fraserburgh level 13 minutes later, but Elrick scored with a 20-yard free-kick after 63 minutes to settle the home side before Alan Hale sealed the win with a third goal in the 81st minute.
The result made it four wins in a row for Fraserburgh who have surged to sixth in the table, just seven points off title pace.
