Games at the beginning of March 2020 were the last attended by fans before lockdown restrictions to curb the spread of coronavirus were implemented, closing football down until the autumn and keeping fans away from large gatherings indefinitely.
A year later – it’s still on-going and the weekly football fix is obtained via online streaming services, not the terraces.
We took a look back at the final crowds for each team in the Scottish Premiership and a handful of others from across the SPFL a year on since the turnstiles last clicked.
Fingers crossed we will be back again soon….
1. ABERDEEN
Aberdeen fans were last openly admitted to Pittodrie for a match with Hibs on March 7. Pittodrie would also hold a test event in the autumn for socially distant supporters in a Scottish Government trial on September 12, but the old ground has been eerily quiet since. Dundee Utd supporters' last match at Tannadice was still in the Scottish Championship as Robbie Neilson's team swept towards the title. The match on March 7 against Partick Thistle ended 1-1 and became the impromptu end of the title-winning season. Photo: Ross MacDonald - SNS Group
