Moussa Dembele deletes tweet after '˜Old Firm' slip

The Frenchman played the full 90 minutes but failed to find the back of the net against Rangers for the first time in his Celtic career, as Clint Hill’s late goal rescued a point for the visitors.

Hide AdThe 20-year-old later poked fun at rival fans, tweeting a image that read “catch us if you can” in reference to the mammoth gap between the two sides.
Along with the picture, he also wrote: “Exceptional atmosphere today, Old firm is so special. No 3pts today but we’re still unbeaten and 33pts away from the rival...”
It was quickly pointed out to Dembele that it’s not the done thing for Celtic players, or even supporters, to use the term “Old Firm”. This stems from the never-ending debate between fans of the two Glasgow sides about whether or not Rangers are a “new club” following the 2012 liquidation.
Dembele responded by deleting and then re-posting the message, but with one slight alternation: now referencing the “derby” instead of “Old Firm”.
