Hibernian rubbish Roman Abramovich claims
A Hibs insider said that rumours in a Spanish newspaper over the weekend that a company owned by the oligarch was interested in buying stakes in the Easter Road side were ‘absolute nonsense’.
The report suggested Abramovich was launching a bid to buy 55 per cent of Real Mallorca, and was also looking at a number of clubs worldwide, including Hapoel Tel Aviv of Israel and Brazilian side Corinthians, as well as Hibs.

Hide AdThe Easter Road source added: “There has been no contact. There have been a number of stories going around but there is nothing in any of them.”
The Russian billionaire is currently involved with Chelsea, CSKA Moscow and is credited with bringing Dutch coach Guus Hidding in to manage the Russian national side.
