But Blues’ lack of cash and Celtic’s right to compensation for the out-of-contract striker is making coming to an arrangement highly difficult.

The 19-year-old has been training at Wast Hills and played in a private practice match a week ago.

Rangers appoint Phillip Nash to board

The Ibrox club announced to the London Stock Exchange yesterday that Phillip Nash has joined the board.

Nash had been employed as a consultant by Rangers having previously served in senior financial positions with Arsenal and Liverpool.

The statement read that it was felt that Nash could better fulfil his role of restructuring the finances of the club if he was appointed a director.

The release also added that Nash’s appointed as a director was not expected to be long term. (Scotsman)
