Warner admits ‘stepping over line’ on Trott
Australia’s David Warner has wished Jonathan Trott well in his battle against a stress-related illness and admitted he “probably stepped over the line” in his earlier criticisms of the England batsman.
Trott left the Ashes tour earlier this week with the England and Wales Cricket Board revealing he was struggling with a long-term condition.
Warner had previously told a press conference that Trott’s second-innings dismissal in the first Test was “pretty poor and pretty weak” – something which raised hackles in the England camp given Trott’s troubles.
