Alex to stage McMillan v McIntyre fight
Former WBO super-featherweight champion Arthur, who expects to see his boxing promoter's licence rubber-stamped later this month, is looking forward to bringing Capital ace McMillan and Paisley southpaw McIntyre together after their bout last month in Glasgow was cancelled due to the latter's illness.
Arthur said: "I'm delighted to be staging the McMillan v McIntrye clash on my first-ever boxing show and I hope to get the Board of Control's permission to make it a ten rounder for the Scottish welterweight title. Both fighters know a win will propel them nearer to a British title eliminator.''

Arthur, who revealed he plans to box on the bill himself, had further good news for Capital fight fans. He revealed: "I will also be featuring Edinburgh super-middleweight Kenny Anderson while another two Edinburgh fighters who will box on my bill will be Gilmerton's Jason Hastie, who is stepping up to lightweight, and super-middleweight John McCallum, who has designs on a future scrap with Anderson."
