Rangers edge closer to Christian Nerlinger appointment
According to reports this morning, the Ibrox boss is to seek clarification about the German’s role and how it would impact on his own managerial duties.
The former Rangers midfielder is the favourite to land the role, which would act as a link between the boardroom and the dressing room, outlined in Graham’s Wallace’s business review of the club.

Hide AdWallace believes it is necessary to overhaul the club’s off-field structures with Nerlinger’s past experience at Bayern Munich noted.
The former Rangers star, who spent 3 years at Ibrox after being brought in by Dick Advocaat, was general manager of the German side and under his watch saw the club achieve one domestic double, two Champions League runner-up finishes and a domestic runner-up double.
Nerlinger left Rangers for Kaiserslautern after spending much of his time at Rangers out injured.
Despite his success, however, he was replaced by Matthias Sammer two years ago.
