Jamie Craig, Jamie Whyte and Craig Doogan are the volunteers behind “Bonnie Dundee” - a Facebook page with over 10,000 likes that photographs the best of the Tayside city.
After an aborted attempt at a 2015 calendar, the group has successfully secured enough funding to produce a limited run of 2016 calendars while giving £1 from the sale of each to Maggie’s Dundee.

“We initially started the fundraising page in order to produce the calendar without cost to ourselves as we are all on low incomes. The pictures are all local views from the likes of the Law and other viewpoints around Dundee.”
With the £300 target set on the group’s Crowdfunder page broken with an £84 surplus, the disappointment of not having last year’s calendars ready in time for Christmas has been avoided.
Craig added: “There’s been more demand than we thought there would be. They have now sold out so we will order more copies next year.”
The money raised from the campaign means that the calendars, priced at £12 each, also include postage costs. By 6 November, 23 backers had invested in the scheme, which went from nothing to fully-funded in just 35 days.
Bonnie Dundee’s Facebook page shares a variety of images from the three photographers, as well as user-generated content.
