Route sales flying high

A SUMMER sale has seen a massive jump in passengers flying between Edinburgh and Orkney.

Scottish airline Loganair has cut fares by a quarter on its flights to Kirkwall and the offer has seen sales rise by 300 per cent.

The 72-hour seat sale was offered at the end of June.

Jonathan Hinkles, Loganair's Commercial Director, said: "We're delighted that so many people took up the offer of our discounted fares last month.

"It's a sign that passenger confidence is returning and that people are keen to benefit from great value offers."
