Racist jailed for 10 months after attack
Tony Stewart, 18, had been banned from his local shop after breaking into the storeroom with friends and stealing alcohol.
When he was refused service two days after the break-in, Stewart lost his temper with shopkeeper Zafar Mohammed and racially abused him.

Hide AdLivingston Sheriff Court was told that Stewart unleashed his tirade of abuse after Mr Mohammed rejected his offer to pay for the £175 worth of stolen beer.
Stewart, of Fauldhouse, West Lothian, appeared for sentence after earlier pleading guilty to assault and breach of the peace at the Costcutter store on August 5.
Sheriff Donald Muirhead told him: “It doesn’t seem to me that anything other than custody is appropriate.”
