Olympic lottery cash call
A report from a cross-party committee of MPs says the Treasury should instead use the 12 per cent tax it receives on every lottery ticket to meet the rising cost of the games in London.
The culture, media and sport committee report also suggests further funds might be contributed by the London Development Agency, which stands to make substantial financial gains on resale of land after the games.
