Fundraiser set up for Scottish gamekeeper who died in tragic accident smashes target
Friends of a Scottish gamekeeper who died in a freak accident have raised more than fourteen times their fundraiser target for the deceased’s family.
David Taylor, 27, known as Wee Davie, died when he fell from a quad bike while working at Clachbain Farm, Dulnain Bridge, on August 18 this year.

A gofundme page set up by friends to help Mr Taylor’s family in the aftermath of the tragic accident has smashed its £10,000 target and reached almost £145,000 in just over a week.
More than 780 people have donated to the worthy cause since it was set up on August 24.
In a statement on the fundraiser page organisers said: “Davie was a hard-working gamekeeper with a cheeky sense of humour and a good friend to many.
“From an early age he had set his heart on following in the footsteps of his father and grandfather on the hill and was proving himself a credit to such a well-known and respected keepering family.
"Having only recently settled into a new job at Lochindorb, his future was assured in a profession that he loved.
"Sharing his journey was his fiancée Christie and their handsome 11-month-old son David, who was the apple of his father’s eye.
"In order to bring something positive at this devastating time, we have set up a fund so that all of his many friends can show their support for David, Christie and wee David.

The organisers said all the funds raised will be used to support Christie and baby David in this difficult time, and thanked those who have contributed so far.
Mr Taylor’s death shocked local residents and the gamekeeping community, with which he and his family were well-known and highly respected.
A private funeral was held on Monday, 31 August in Tomintoul to allow relatives and those close to the family to pay their respects.
Scottish Gamekeepers Association Chairman Alex Hogg said: "The generosity of the gamekeeping community has been shown, here, in spades.
"Not only will sums like this be useful as the family try to move forward in their lives, it also shows the respect and warmth people had for Davie, his partner and the Taylors as people.
"I was struck by the turn-out on the street following the funeral. It shows how much this loss has meant to so many."
