Neo-liberal fallacy
In response to Joyce McMillan (Perspective, 15 August), no economy can be taxed into prosperity and government spending is not a free gift from the state.
The question has to be asked: where is the “neo-liberal consensus” at Westminster?
Successive governments, both Labour and Conservative-led, have done nothing but greedily raise taxes and increase the burden of regulation.
