Divine rights
As a panentheist (ie everything past, present and future, and without exception, is an aspect of what some anthropomorphise as “God”), I find the ongoing tennis match between “scientists” and “religionists” pointless since both are attempting to generate a distinction without a difference.
This is so because, when push comes to shove, each has to admit their standpoint is based upon a “singularity” whose own origins have never been acceptably explained. As such, their debate has what logicians call only an “existential import”. On that basis both sides should really take up golf instead.
