Handyman committed for murder trial
A HANDYMAN accused of murdering pensioner Jenny Methven was committed for trial after a court hearing yesterday.
William Kean was remanded in custody after a judicial examination at Perth Sheriff Court.
It is alleged he murdered the 80-year-old by repeatedly hitting her with a blunt instrument on Monday 20 February at 4 Kildinny Farm Cottage, Forteviot, Perthshire.
The married father-of-two, of Blairgowrie, previously made no plea or declaration during a first private appearance seven days ago.
