Enterprising youngsters set to become 'Tenner Tycoons'

Schoolchildren are being encouraged to become "Tenner Tycoons" by starting a business with just £10 each.

The initiative will see Enterprise UK make 10 loans to young people, and challenge them to create as much profit and social good as they can in a month.

It is backed by Mike Crockart MP, who said: "Tenner Tycoon is an innovative scheme that gives young people all over the UK the chance to showcase their skills and ingenuity whilst gaining practical business experience.

"We need to support initiatives like Tenner Tycoon that aim to inspire the next generation of entrepreneurs and therefore ensure the future prosperity of the UK.

"I hope that schoolchildren from across Edinburgh will give it a go, and show just how entrepreneurial Edinburgh's future can be."
