Belarus: Opposition march leader hospitalised
Belarus police broke up a march by the opposition in the capital Minsk yesterday and beat its leader, Vladimir Neklyayev.
Mr Neklyayev, 64, one of the main candidates running against president Alexander Lukashenko, was taken to hospital with head injuries.
