Hidden gems: The Sun Inn
Craig, who lives in Midlothian, co-owns the restaurant with his parents, Ian and Bernadette.
The 29-year-old started working at the family pub in Leeds shortly after leaving school and has now used his experience to create The Sun Inn – tucked away on the outskirts of Edinburgh.

Hide AdThe menu is locally-sourced wherever possible, changed regularly and is best described as modern British with an emphasis on seafood and pub classics.
The award-winning restaurant with overnight accommodation (five rooms) is in Lothianbridge, Dalkeith, and opened in October 2008.
It offers modern comforts, log fires, and exposed stone and wood panelling in the bar and restaurant.
Meanwhile, the rooms upstairs have been treated to monsoon showers, handmade king-size beds with Egyptian cotton, LCD televisions with Sky, and Purdies Scottish Soap Company toiletries.
